IT LOOKS like the security team policing Swindon's schools during the summer holidays is winning the battle against mindless vandalism.
School Watch, run by Swindon Services, operates 24-hours-a-day spot security checks at sites to clamp down on the minority intent to cause havoc.
In only its second year, schools are already giving the scheme positive feedback because the patrols are saving them money and making them feel safer.
In protecting schools, the team is working for children not against them and should be congratulated for its sterling efforts.
