Libraries in town are challenging children to read six books over the summer holidays as part of a national campaign.
The Reading Planet contest is encouraging children to enjoy reading by rewarding them for each book they complete. Each participant will receive a space-themed empty sticker album at the start of the competition and a sheet of colourful stickers to put into the album after each book they read.
All children who complete the task will get a medal, an award certificate, and an invitation to a party in September. The scheme started on Saturday and runs until September 14 at all Swindon libraries. It is free to enter and is open to children of all ages.
