SWINDON-based company Nationwide has again agreed to sponsor the Great Western Community Forest summer event, Forest Festival.
Forest Festival 2002, Swindon's biggest green family event, will take place on Saturday, August 31, at the Lawns, Old Town from 10am to 5pm.
It will be celebrating trees and their products, promoting a greener lifestyle and providing information about the Great Western Community Forest project.
Thanks to the strong partnership with Nationwide, the Forest Festival has grown from strength to strength over the last four years and this year will be no exception.
The forest team have been organising a programme of workshops, crafts people, demonstrations and great entertainment.
Forest Festival 2002 is a free event and open to everyone.
Visitors are encouraged to walk, cycle or catch the bus to the event.
Those who travel by car can use a park and ride service operating from the Nationwide car park in Pipers Way, running buses to the Lawns entrance throughout the day.
