INTERNATIONAL business bank, Fortis has won the full European banking business for Dawsongroup, (Dawsons), which has a branch in Swindon, providing a £10 million plus package in HP facilities.
A leading asset rental business operating in several related markets within the European logistics sector, Dawsons identified an opportunity to grow in Europe and Fortis was able to provide a common infrastructure.
Fortis has already provided local HP facilities to the group in Germany, Holland and recently aided their introduction to Poland.
Dawson's product portfolio is focused on high quality premium products typically with high unit values and comprises trucks, trailers, portable cold stores, chiller cabinets fluid chillers, buses, coaches and materials handling equipment.
The bank is also providing the company with the facilities for their electronic payments and notional cash pooling. Notional pooling is a cash management technique used either for one country or an international scale.
Fortis Bank is a member of the Benelux-based Fortis group which ranks among the 20 largest financial institutions in Europe, with a market capitalisation of £31 billion. Fortis is a leading international organisation employing 70,000 people worldwide serving seven million customers.
