STAFF at Drove Veterinary Hospital in Croft Road have made a heartfelt plea for the owners of two cats found at the weekend to come forward.
The first moggy, a female tortoiseshell, was found inside a cardboard box by two children in Plaum's Pit, Cheney Manor, on Saturday.
Described as very well looked after, the cat was without identification but her fur shows she may have been wearing a collar until quite recently.
The second cat, a male tabby and white, was handed into the vet hospital at 2am on Sunday.
Thought to have been involved in a road accident in Freshbrook Lane, the animal was checked over thoroughly by staff but has since been given a clean bill of health.
Student veterinary nurse Lisa Carter, who has been taking care of both cats, said: "They're both really lovely but we're choc-a-bloc here at the hospital and can't look after them for long.
"We've been offered places for them both with the RSPCA in Bath later this week, but we'd rather return them to their owners."
If you think one of these cats might be yours, please call Drove Veterinary Hospital on Swindon 522483.
