ANOTHER poor batting display saw Chippenham tumble to a 51 run defeat in Saturday's Premier Division Two game.
Chasing a Midsomer Norton total of 211 for six, an understrength Chippenham side were dismissed for 160 in the 49th over.
Midsomer Norton, who won the toss and elected to bat first, were given a good start by opener Cox and Krige, who put on 72 for the first wicket.
Krige went on to top score with 75 off 115 balls and Cox came in at number six to boost the run rate with an unbeaten 62 off only 35 balls, including three sixes and five fours.
Off spinner Jason Searle was again Chippenham's most successful bowler, finishing with figures of four for 62 from 15 overs.
Chippenham soon lost Wiltshire all-rounder Richard Bates in reply before Mark Hunt (24) and Jack Humphrys (32) retrieved the situation with a steady second wicket partnership.
Hunt then fell for 24 and West Indian newcomer Sean Adams followed first ball to leave Chippenham at 42 for three.
After that wickets fell at regular intervals, with Trevor Lloyd (24) the only other batsman to make a significant contribution.
