SCHOOLBOY Josh Gibson has been highly commended in a national art competition.
The 12-year-old pupil of Bradon Forest School, Purton, was singled out from hundreds of entrants in the competition to produce a poster advertising cutting-edge global positioning technology.
Pupils were asked to create a poster and slogan to show how Geographical Information Systems can help people and business.
The contest helped pupils learn about scale, distance and direction.
Bradon Forest's head of humanities Charlotte Wilson said: "Josh did really well because everybody in his class entered the competition.
"He was up against other school pupils from all over the country."
