PEWSEY Vale face two local derbies in the space of five days when they kick off their first season in the Hellenic League Premier Division next month.
Don Rogers' men, promoted from Division One West last term, begin their new adventure with a visit to Bishops Cleeve on August 27.
They will then host neighbours Wootton Bassett Town in the first league game under their new floodlights on August 21 and travel to Carterton Town before a home game against Highworth Town on Bank Holiday Monday, August 26.
Wootton Bassett face a daunting start at home to last season's runners-up Gloucester United, while Highworth travel to North Leigh on the opening day.
Purton, who finished fourth in Division One West last season, kick off the 2002/03 campaign with two matches against sides making their Hellenic League bow next term. Alan Clark's side begin with a trip to Slimbridge and face Witney United on August 20.
Wiltshire Senior Cup holders Malmesbury Vics play host to relegated Harrow Hill on the opening day and travel to Slimbridge on August 20.
Pewsey and Wootton Bassett will meet at the Recreation Ground for the second time in little more than a week in the preliminary round of the Red Cherry Challenge Cup on August 31.
At the same stage of the competition, Purton host Chipping Norton, Highworth travel to Wantage Town and Malmesbury have been drawn away to Fairford Town.
