DOLLY Williams fulfilled a lifetime's ambition by getting back on a Harley-Davidson motorbike.
Mrs Williams, 83, of Waylands, Devizes, has had a passion for Harley Davidsons ever since she used to travel with her late husband on his machine.
She had not been on a Harley- Davidson for more than 60 years, so district nurse, Renate Roberts, organised a surprise.
Devizes motorcyclist Ronnie Wild brought his Harley Davidson to Mrs Roberts' house.
Although it was hoped Mrs Williams would be able to go for a ride, it was not possible because of her severe arthritis.
Mr Wild, however, rode the motorcycle up and down to enable Mrs Williams to hear the purring of the engine.
Mrs Williams said: "It was beautiful and I stroked it. It was thrilling to sit on it. I have loved Harley-Davidsons for years."
Mrs Roberts said: "Dolly is bike mad. She has got models of Harley -Davidsons all over her house and she has a huge painting of a Harley -Davidson. It was when I saw the painting that I realised just how much they meant to her.
"Being able to sit on one gave her such joy and I am so happy that she has been able to do it."
