Bassett, back to winning ways following their three-wicket win over Malmesbury, consolidated their second place in Division One of the Glos/Wilts League.
Tomorrow they travel to Bredon without captain Steve Twine, and with Sean Clark and Lee Stevens available again, John Millington Jr steps down to strengthen the seconds.
Having struggled to beat Malmesbury last week by one wicket in a last ball encounter, and without Ponting, Lukens and Guntrip, the seconds will have to raise their game against Bredon if they are to remain unbeaten since the first game of the season.
The third team, playing last Sunday, fell victim to Westinghouse's policy of picking first team players. Chasing a mammoth 275, Bassett did well to reach 250 against a hostile attack which saw Paul Burke taken away for treatment on a badly-cut eye.
The fourth team are again very inexperienced as they host Warminster at Ballards Ash.
