Wiltshire law firm Goughs has appointed a practice manager.
Iwan Thomas, 45, left his job with a patents firm in Essex to take up the newly created position with Goughs.
Originally from Cardiff, Welsh speaking Mr Thomas gained an MBA at Warwick Business School and has been in practice management for seven years, and 20 years in all in the legal profession.
Stephen Howard, partner at Goughs' Chippenham office where Mr Thomas is based, said: "This is an entirely new step for us. With seven offices in Wiltshire and a growing client base."
Mr Thomas, who is single, is a rugby fan and enjoys hill and mountain walking.
Solicitor Debbie Stringer has fulfilled a lifelong dream after taking up a new post in Chippenham.
As a member of Goughs 15-strong family law team covering its seven offices in Wiltshire, Miss Stringer will handle a number of issues including divorce, financial matters, child care proceedings and matters relating to domestic violence. In her spare time she helps run the youth club at St Andrew's Church, Chippenham.
