SWINDON Council's performance can be compared with the achievements of other councils through a new government website.
People can compare the amount of council tax collected, the level of waste recycled and the number of GCSEs achieved by pupils at local schools.
They can also check whether government targets have been met in 97 aspects of service delivery.
Local government minister Christopher Leslie, said: "The new website will provide more and better information about public services by making best value performance information readily accessible to all members of the public. This move demonstrates our commitment to facilitating better public understanding of local service delivery."
Users will be able to compare data across councils at national, regional and sub-regional levels.
