WILTSHIRE Wildlife Trust is urging people to donate old and unwanted cameras to help raise extra funds to protect wildlife across the county.
People going abroad this summer who might be thinking about trading in their camera for a new model can help the trust raise cash by donating their old ones.
Sheila Martin, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust's fundraising support officer, said: "Many people are now purchasing digital photographic equipment, so we are asking them to donate their old camera to us.
"The trust raises funds through the sale of cameras, film and slide projectors or screens, or in fact any photographic equipment of whatever age and working order.
"It is making good use of the things other people no longer need. We also collect laser cartridges, jewellery and lots of other items which we can trade for much-needed funds."
The money raised will go towards helping to protect different species of wildlife including otters, birds and butterflies across Wiltshire.
Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is the country's biggest nature conservation charity, and celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
