A Russell Rowe-inspired Wiltshire got off to a solid start on the first day of their Minor Counties Championship Western Division match against rivals Oxfordshire.
After winning the toss at Thame, the visitors elected to bat and Rowe's superb knock of 88 helped Wiltshire to a first innings total of 312 all out.
Chris Budd wasn't far behind Rowe in the scoring stakes, helping himself to an excellent 77.
Oxfordshire had time to start their response before close of play, but lost an early wicket when Wiltshire's Kevin Nash struck. The hosts will resume today on 36-1.
n A four-wicket haul in the final session helped Bangladesh claw their way back into the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo.
At stumps on the first day the hosts were 301-8 thanks largely to a determined 85 from captain Sanath Jayasuriya.
Both sides rung the changes for this Test with Bangladesh dropping five players from the side that lost by an innings in the first Test, while Sri Lanka opted to rest nine of their regular first team, most controversially Muttiah Muralitharan.
