KITE fans can enjoy a special event at Lackham Country Park this weekend. A flying spectacular has been is organised by the White Horse Kite Flyers club on Sunday.
There will be an array of colourful and unusual kites on display. And both adults and children will find events aimed at them.
Children can bring along their own teddies for a special parachute drop for teddy bears.
There will also be an opportunity for children to make their own kites in a kite-making workshop. They will be able to fly their creations as soon as they have made them.
Kites of all shapes, sizes and colour will be flown, including a kite in the shape of a frogman's legs.
The attractions normally associated with Lackham Country Park will still be open throughout the day. These include the gardens, plant stalls, rural life museum, woodland walk and an animal park.
The event runs from 10am to 5pm and admission is £2 per adult. Entry is free for accompanied children, .
