Wiltshire stuttered badly during the second day of their match against Oxfordshire.
After posting an impressive first innings total of 312 with Russell Rowe hitting 88 on Sunday the visitors looked in control at Thame.
Oxfordshire started day two on 36-1, but eventually totalled a respectable 284 all out to trail by just 28 runs.
Wiltshire's Richard Bates staged a one-man demolition job on the Oxfordshire order, taking 7-112, and Jason Seaton 2-80.
But the hosts put some early pressure on Wiltshire's second innings, and despite Chris Budd's 45 the visiting team struggled to extend their lead, losing four wickets for 94 runs at the close of play.
