Unlikely Devizes Town caretaker manager Mark Surman will take charge at Nursteed Road for the first time this evening.
Surman has been installed as temporary boss for tonight's visit of Purton, following the shock resignation of Brian Newlands.
Assistant boss Martin Phillips is away on coaching duties with Swindon Town youth so the Devizes board have handed the first team reigns to Surman, who as Chairman of the club's youth programme, has little senior management experience.
It may be Surman's one and only game at the helm though.
Phillips returns before the weekend, and the board hope to hire a permanent replacement for Newlands when chairman Chris Belcher returns from holiday later this week.
Hellenic League Fairford will be aiming to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat to Bristol City Reserves when Wilts League Wroughton visit Cinder Lane tonight.
Premier Division rivals Highworth who beat Stratton Crosslink 1-0 on Saturday travel to Witney.
