THAI delicacies and a human auction raised over £2,000 for a new computer suite at Bishopstone Primary School.
More than 50 people indulged in a 14-course meal prepared by Brian Hickton at the True Heart pub in the village.
Brian, 39, who is a trained chef, runs the pub with his wife Mandy. He also took part in the human auction by offering to cook a gourmet dinner for the person who bid the most for his time.
Other people also offered their time and skills ranging from gardening, DIY and IT training.
He said: "We love Thai food even though we have never been to Thailand. There is a lot of Thai influence in our a la carte menu."
Mandy, 33, said: "It went brilliantly people were very generous with their money which left them poorer but the school is much better off."
The total amount raised was £2,102, which will help the school, which has 40 pupils, buy computer equipment.
Brian and Mandy have two children, Stephanie, 10 and Paris, 7, who both attend the school.
