YOUNGSTERS got to escape the daily grind of the classroom at the Great Escape summer holiday activity programme at Greendown School.
The week long course, which started at the Grange Park school yesterday, offered children aged between nine and 13 the chance to try their hand at a multitude of organised sports activities.
And the fine weather continued as the school field became a haven for football, netball, cricket, athletics, dance and orienteering.
Some even took part in a coaching course run by qualified English Football Association coaches.
