THE ARTISTS of the future have been given a head start thanks to a sponsorship deal with a printing firm.
Pupils at Ridgeway School will get the best equipment available after Bristol-based printing firm Coates Screens agreed to sponsor its A-level print-making course.
The firm presented the school with a cheque for £500 to offset some of the costs for the expensive materials that were needed on the course.
The school believes art is an important subject, giving pupils from 11 to 18-year-olds the chance to express themselves.
Year nine pupils were featured in the Evening Advertiser during Think Art week for their paintings of Swindon locations in the style of legendary painters.
