A VITAL service which serves the people of Swindon and Wiltshire continues to seek the public's support.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance gets no statutory funding yet last year it extended its operating hours from nine to 19 hours a day running from 8am to 3am, including night flying.
This has increased the service's annual fundraising target to in excess of £320,000, which equates to more than £6,000 a week.
Service spokesman Steve Chesworth said: "In the past ten years or more individuals and community groups have given money or raised funds for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance by leaving legacies, making substantial individual donations and by organising hundreds of different events around the county.
"The Appeal hopes that this voluntary support will remain as strong as ever. After all, over the past 12 years the Wiltshire Air Ambulance has proved itself to be an essential part of the Wiltshire emergency services."
If you would like to support the service in any way contact Steve Chesworth, Wiltshire Air Ambulance Appeal, Dorman House, Malmesbury Road, Chippenham, SN15 5LN, or telephone (01249) 463431.
