KEEN angler Stephen Vaughan collapsed and died as he fished on the banks of the River Avon on Tuesday.
Father-of-four Mr Vaughan, 57, of Thingley, near Corsham, collapsed at around 8.30pm on a stretch of the river close to Avenue La Fleche.
A member of the public raised the alarm and paramedics attended the scene along with officers from Chippenham police station, but Mr Vaughan was pronounced dead.
The post mortem examination is expected to take place today. But police say here are no suspicious circumstances.
