PURTON travelled to Trowbridge in Gloucstershire and Wiltshire Division Two on Saturday 27 July and lost by 106 runs.
Trowbridge started slowly against some good Purton bowling reaching 60 for 3 after 22 overs.
However, Purton dropped two vital catches, allowing the home side to accelerate in the second half of their innings and finish on 201 for six.
Purton made another poor start to their reply, losing Sheppard in the third over. Booth and Danny Dunn added 20 for the second wicket before Booth was adjudged lbw.
Gardner joined Dunn and together they began to get on top of the opening bowlers taking the score to 46 at the end of the 12th over.
However with the introduction of slow left armers Mike Beel (five for 18) and Deam Semken (3 for 29) saw Purton collapse to 95 all out in the 38th over.
