BOX have taken the lead in the race for the Division One title.
With previous leaders Calne having a free week, Box took the opportunity to take over top spot by winning at Bath Civil Service.
They bowled their hosts out for 149, but were then in some trouble at 77-5 in their reply before 60 from Neil Pettit saw them to a four wicket victory.
Westinghouse kept up their challenge in third place with an 80 run victory at Burbage and ER.
For Westinghouse, Paul Bailey (60) and Colin Fry (32) top scored as they closed at 176-9. For Burbage, Nick Cook took 3-33 in 15 overs. When Burbage batted, only Alan Wheeler (22) offered much resistance as they were bowled out for 96, with Mike Dix taking 4-31.
Buscot Park still seek that elusive first win after going down by seven wickets at home to Biddestone. Hamish Miller (57) and Tom Lockley (33) helped Buscot to a useful 187-6, Barry Mason taking 4-49 in 15 overs. Alec Mason (106) then ensured Biddestone an easy passage to victory.
A bit of a surprise in the division was Potterne's home defeat at the hands of Beanacre. Rob Howard (32) and Dave Gilbert (32) gave Beanacre a solid foundation on which Graham Lapham added 52 as they closed on 208-7. For Potterne, Fred Kerley took 3-30 in 11 overs and James Brown 3-49 in 12.
Potterne then struggled for runs and only Graham Gaiger (53) and Kerley (37) saw them to 129 all out, with Andy Storey taking 4-33 in 7.1 overs.
Division Two
NATIONWIDE House take over as clear leaders in the division following the shock home defeat of Collingbourne by lowly Highworth.
Graham Chandler (69) top scored for Collingbourne as they totalled 196-8, Geoff Jeckells taking 5-33 in seven overs for Highworth. Lee Beaver (47) and Colin Mead (75) then took Highworth to a four-wicket victory with three balls to spare, Barry Langford with 3-39 in 15 overs being Collingbourne's most successful bowler.
Nationwide visited another struggling side, Minety, who scored a respectable 183-6, thanks to Lorne Kitchen (66) and Andrew Brown (84).
Nationwide batted solidly, led by Stuart Archer (55), and finally won by four wickets with four balls remaining.
Bradford Town are still looking for a first win as they went down by 127 runs at Sutton Veny. For the home side, Andy Pinnell hit a fine 94 and Andy Frost 74 in their 217-7. Andy Trollope then took 6-37 in 13 overs as Bradford were bowled out for 90.
Great Bedwyn take over in third place following a 64 run success at Cooper-Avon Tyres. For Bedwyn, Andy Turnell had a fine match, top scoring with 61 before taking 5-41 in his 15 overs.
Bedwyn made 152 all out, with Rich Jory taking 2-15 in 13 accurate overs and Steve Rendell 6-49 in 11. Cooper-Avon were then bowled out for 88, Ian Bailey adding 3-28 in 15 overs in valuable support of Turnell.
A high scoring game at Lechlade saw visiting Swindon Civil Service post a daunting 268-6, 106 coming from the last 10 overs.
Steve Cunningham (97), Mat Hayward (59) and Stuart Smith (41) were the main contributors. In a tense finish, Lechlade ended on 266-9 with Paul Rowley (84), Neil Pearce (54) and Nick Smith (39) taking them oh so close.
Division Three
LEADERS Cherhill and Urchfont stretched their lead as they both won.
Cherhill scored 150-9 at Spye Park, with John Candy top scoring with 65 as Phil Allsop took 2-37 in 15 overs and John Beal 3-11 in eight. Allsop then added 48 as he top scored in Spye's 113 all out, the damage being done by Ben Webber, 5-30 in 11.4 overs, and Harry Harrison, 4-43 in 15.
Urchfont posted a daunting 235-6 at Bathford, with Mike Brooks (81) and Mike Bateman (66) the major contributors and Mark Watts taking 3-31 in 13 overs for Bathford. The home side were then restricted to 154-9, with Steve Ball making a resolute 74 as Mike Bateman ended with 5-23 in 15 overs.
Seagry sprang a surprise against third placed Wanborough as they made 181 all out, thanks mainly to Alex Farraday (63) and Martin Hewitt (35), Andrew Clinning taking 5-40 in 15 overs. William Tidmarsh, 6-18 in 12.2 overs, and Alistair Morris, 3-21 in nine, then toppled Wanborough for just 53.
At Moredon Royal Oak, visiting Swindon 3rds made 193-7, with Colin Iles (43) and Steve Rizwan (42) top scoring. For Moredon, Steve French took 3-40 in 11 overs and Ian Morton 4-64 in 12. In reply only Saj Khan (34) helped the home side to 161 all out as Alan McDonald took 2-43 in 15 overs and Mike Willoughby 4-15 in 6.1
Division Four
HEYTESBURY consolidated their position at the top with a 55 run home success over Lambourn.
Wroughton take over second place following their comprehensive victory over struggling Bradford Town 2nds. Steve Hyde (59) and Mike Evans (60) helped Wroughton to 228-7, Tom Braine taking 3-75 in 15 overs and Dave Edwards 2-38 in his 15 for Bradford. When they batted, only 35 from Edwards enabled them to make a poor 61 all out as Mark McMeekin took 8-20 in 14.3 overs.
Coate's improvement continued with a win at Westbury 3rds. Westbury were bowled out for 95, only Neil Baker (29) offering much resistance, with Tom Crane taking 3-47 in 13.4 overs. Matt Robins (30) and Pete Deverill (39) then saw them to a nine wicket win.
Corsham 3rds entertained Ramsbury and shot them out for 43, with Neville Dennett taking 5-30 in 12.3 and Andy Nicholls 3-13 in 12 overs. Corsham went on to win by seven wickets, Les Baker taking 3-14 in five overs.
The upset in this division was the home defeat of Blunsdon which dropped them to third place. Only 49 from Barry Palmer helped them to a modest 131 all out against visiting Mildenhall. The visitors, thanks to Les Trute (61) and H Momi (41), then knocked the runs off in 30 overs for the loss of just one wicket.
Division Five
WARMINSTER 3rd continue to set the pace following a comfortable home win by eight wickets over Lavington who they had bowled out for 159.
In the second against third clash at Avebury, second placed Wilcot consolidated their position. Wilcot made 184-8, with William Orr (50) and Steve Hyde (50) top scoring. For Avebury, Greg Dix took 3-34 in seven overs and Nigel Hollister 3-40 in eight. Ed Smith with five wickets and Robin Cook 2-38 in nine overs then helped bowl Avebury out for 144, Dan Fry (21) and Nigel Hollister (21) being the top scorers.
Bottom of the table Nettleton struggled to 106 all out against visiting Burbage and ER 2nds, Ed Parker top scoring as Steve Drewitt (3-17) and David Daniels (4-32) did most of the damage. A fine spell of six for 25 from Ian Witt, supported by Ian Sandell (3-22) saw Burbage dismissed for 80, Pete Swatton making 22, to give Nettleton a welcome win.
Fellow strugglers Keevil scored a useful 202-7 at United Churches, thanks to Kevin Lockwood (83) and Paul Jones (46). Churches had the last word, however, as James Hill (54) and Duncan Mead (51) helped them to a four-wicket victory.
Division Six
LEADERS Litten Tree and Buscot Park 2nds continue to pull away at the top.
Litten Tree bowled visiting Devizes 3rds out for just 31, with Mike Leech (4-9 in nine overs), Steve King (2-6) and Julian Brown (3-8 in nine overs) doing the damage.
Not to be outdone, Richard Read responded with 5-9 in 4.2 overs as Litten Tree limped home by three wickets, Phil Tonks finally hitting the winning boundary.
Buscot Park visited Biddestone 2nds, who made 178 all out, thanks to Sam Thornton (44), Don Keighley (34) and Nick Hudson (21). For Buscot, Willie Townsend took 4-46 in 15 overs, Glen Townsend 3-69 in 13.3 and Ronnie Fernandez 2-36 in 13.
Fernandez followed with 43 and with Andy Moreby (56) and Ray O'Neil (47), Buscot cruised to a six-wicket win in just 26 overs. Arran Bell, 2-37 in 6.1 overs, was the best of the Biddestone bowlers.
Lacock moved up to a distant third spot after their five-wicket home win over Cooper-Avon Tyres 2nds.
Division Seven
WITH the top three sides all winning the top of the table remains unchanged.
Westinghouse 2nds made 202-9, with Steve Day (32), Ian Woodman (49) and John Haynes (31) the major contributors and Adrian Cooksey taking 5-46 in 15 overs for visiting Bradford Town 3rds.
Cooksey then top scored with 28 in a Bradford reply of 142-9 as Stuart Thomson took 3-29 in 13 overs and John Haynes 3-43 in eight.
Wootton Bassett 3rds struggled to 126-8 at Dauntsey Gentlemen 2nds, thanks largely to John Millington (42) and Garry Giles (34) as Mel Camish took 3-38 in 14 overs and Neil Thomas 4-20 in 14, including a hat-trick.
Bassett's bowlers responded well and led by David Wharton, with 2-27 in 14 overs, restricted the Dauntsey reply to 122-9 to gain a narrow four run victory.
Nationwide House 2nds, in third spot, had Trowbridge A as visitors and restricted them to 167-8, with Dave Gibson (62) top scoring and Joe Perkins taking 4-39 in 12 overs.
Mark Tuton (51) and Darren Milne (99) then steered Nationwide to an eight-wicket victory with 10 overs in hand.
All Cannings rattled up 244 all out, thanks to Richard Holman (69), Adam Croutier (39) and Gareth Scott (36). Opponents Bath Civil Service 2nds were then dismissed for 120 with all the home side's bowlers contributing.
Division Eight
CHERHILL 2nds retained second place as they won a high scoring home match with United Churches 2nds.
Cherhill batted first and, thanks to Steve Hutchings (85) and Dave Hewings (58), closed at 237-4, Adam Rumbold taking 3-48 in nine overs. Churches in reply, with Mike Ellsby (33), Mark Stratton (40) and Adam Frith (54) made a valiant attempt to get the runs but finished losers by 13 runs at 224-8 with the bowling of Malcolm Parrack, 2-46 in 12 overs and John Carpenter, 5-65 in 12, the deciding factor in Cherhill's win.
At Biddestone 3rds, visitors Marshfield 3rds made a daunting 257-9, thanks to Alan Willis (66) and Bobby Jenkins (50).
For Biddestone, Neil Millard (5-69) and Chris James (3-46) were the pick of the bowlers. Chris Smith (37) then top scored in the home side's response of 166-5, Dave Wharton taking 2-27 in 15 economical overs.
Warminster 4ths kept up their challenge for honours as they made 199 all out at Wootton Bassett 4ths.
For Bassett, Trevor Mitchell took 5-25 in five overs.
Tom Cooper then anchored the Bassett reply, being first in and last out for 38 as they were dismissed for 106.
In the game between the bottom two, Chippenham 4ths were successful against their Devizes counterparts. Chippenham made 206-6, with Ray Bullen (81), Adam Merryweather (45) and Mat Hunt (25) leading the way.
Devizes in reply made 133 all out, with Andy Goodfield following his 3-53 in 12 overs with 25 and young Barry Reid 14 and 2-16 in five overs.
Best bowling for Chippenham came from Simon Goodman, 2-24 in five overs, and Mark Adams, 2-13 in six.
In this division, positions will be decided on average points due to some sides now playing only 16 matches, weather affected games being ignored.
