STAFF and children at Worton and Marston School held a belated Queen's golden jubilee party at the end of term.
Pupils were unable to celebrate at the time of the golden jubilee weekend in June because inspectors from Ofsted were at the school.
After a glowing Ofsted report and to round off the school year, a jubilee picnic was held in the grounds.
All 70 children enjoyed the picnic, which also included a leavers' service for eight year six pupils.
The school association, along with parents, organised a finger buffet. A cake was baked and the chairman of governors, Frank Marshall, did the honours by cutting it.
Every child was also given a jubilee coin to mark this special year.
Headteacher Sue Berry said: "It was a lovely day and it rounded off the year nicely."
The Ofsted report praised the quality of teaching at the school, the management of the headteacher and her staff and the attitudes of parents and pupils.
Standards have risen in English, maths and science since the previous inspection in 1997.
