WOOTTON Bassett Rotarians swung into action and handed over £1,600 to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Yesterday's presentation at the Wootton Bassett and District Rotary annual dinner was the result of June's fifth annual golf day.
In the 12 years the ambulance has been in service an operation shared with the police they have air lifted more than 1,500 patients.
Rotarian George Tuckett, 73, said: "We have decided to support the Wiltshire Air Ambulance because it's such a worthy cause.
"It's something that everyone benefits from because you just don't know when you might need its services.
"And it's this kind of support that keeps it up in the air."
