BUSINESSES in Westbury, Warminster and Frome have been urged to stand up and share the broadband revolution even if they do not intend to use the service.
Business adviser David Howlett, of Business Link Berkshire and Wiltshire, has said companies need to take action now to ensure broadband technology is brought to the towns, so they avoid falling behind competitors already using it.
Broadband enables computer users to send and receive more, better quality, information at high speed over the internet.
The service will only be made available to those using BT services in the three towns if 400 individuals register their interest in each town.
Business Link said just four people had registered last week. Mr Howlett said: "Businesses and individuals could help themselves if they all do register there is no commitment."
To register, call BT free on 0800
800 060.
