A SAFARI park has put a pair of the world's most dangerous animals on display.
Shocked visitors are coming face to face with humans in a specially constructed cage in the heart of Longleat's famous lion enclosure.
Although the bars of the cage have been reinforced, keepers are warning the public to keep their distance as the creatures inside are potentially deadly.
Deputy head keeper, Ian Turner, said: "Compared to these animals everything else we have in the safari park looks positively tame.
"People may think the lions are dangerous and they are but they're nowhere near as deadly as these creatures."
The new display has caused quite a stir among the park's visitors and the human enclosure is part of a series of features which aim to highlight the importance of conservation.
