NEW recruits sweated it out for charity when they completed an army assault course in Warminster on Sunday, July 28.
More than 80 people signed themselves up for the challenge at Battlesbury Barracks, raising more than £9,000 for Cancer Research UK.
Teams of four had to reach the finishing line together by crossing obstacles, including monkey bars and a 12ft wall.
Soldiers from the Green Jackets were on hand to offer and advice.
Kirsty Bowron, events fundraiser in Wiltshire, said: "We were very pleased with the support. Last year's winners IPL, a graphic design company from Bath, came back and won it again.
"The event was sponsored by Wadworth and the winners were rewarded with beer."
For everyone else, the main aim was to finish and, apart from a few minor bruises all, teams got over safely.
