A TROWBRIDGE couple are searching for a Good Samaritan who saved their car from would-be thieves.
Bill and Kathy Wyllie left the keys to their Nissan Micra in the ignition when they parked- at the old Tesco site in St Stephen's Place on Monday, July 29.
Returning to the car at 2pm they found a note to say their keys had been rescued and left at Trowbridge police station.
Mrs Wyllie said she is amazed the car was not stolen and wants to track down the woman who prevented thieves making off with their pride-and-joy.
She said: "We have donated some money to the tourist information centre for looking after the keys and taking them to the police station.
"It would be nice if the lady who found them would get in touch. I want to shake her by the hand.
"We were so relieved and could have lost everything in the car."
