A SPONSORED head shave has set staff at Trowbridge county court well on the way to raising £1,000 for charity.
Customer service officer Jonathan Burnan had his head shaved, raising £335. He said: "I said I would do it if we managed to raise over £150."
Elaine Crook organised the drive in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer after she beat the disease.
She said: "It was over twice what we had hoped for. The haircut actually quite suits him." The next event is a car boat sale and open day on September 21.
ATWORTH man Ray Spurr has also been raising money for Breakthrough. Mr Spurr, 46, was one of a 14-strong team who joined a 54-mile Bike for Breakthrough sponsored ride from London to Cambridge on Sunday in a team called Charlie's Angels after his sister-in-law, who is having treatment for breast cancer.
