EXPLORER David Hempleman-Adams will not be attempting a world record breaking high-altitude balloon flight today because of the weather.
He was due to take off with fellow balloonist Don Cameron, managing director of Cameron Balloons, from Western Zoyland, an airfield near Bridgwater.
Their balloon, measuring 77,000 cubic feet, will contain huge helium-filled weather balloons.
A special burner is hoped to heat the air underneath the weather balloons to an expected altitude of 25,000 feet. Though the challenge has been postponed because the wind speed is too high it will be re-arranged.
