A MAN who stabbed a shopper in an unprovoked attack has had his sentence adjourned until August 30.
At an earlier hearing Alan Green, 45, pleaded guilty to stabbing an Asian shopper who was queuing to buy his morning newspaper at the One Stop Shop in Liden on Sunday, November 11.
Green, of Arnfield Moor, Liden, was arrested only hours after the stabbing, which nearly claimed the life of the 24-year-old victim. At a hearing at Bristol Crown Court in April Judge Tom Crowther ordered Green to undergo psychiatric treatment.
