FIRST Great Western Trains is bringing back its family carriage.
Operating on Saturdays, Sundays and off-peak services throughout the school holidays, the carriage has extra space for buggies, extended table seating allowing families to sit together and children's fun packs including puzzles and games.
The carriage, now in its sixth year, is situated in Coach E of the Swindon company's high-speed trains, next to the buffet for added convenience.
First Great Western spokesman, Tim Bowcock, said the service has already proved popular this summer.
He said: "Over the last couple of weeks I have seen families enjoying our service with the children making models and playing games from the fun packs. The family carriage is one of a number initiatives along with the mobile phone free carriages and the audio carriage on the Adelante service."
Children aged from five to 15 travel half price, while under fives travel free. For reservations call 08457 000 125.
