Down Farm in West Kington, near Castle Combe, was hit by two fires yesterday. Three fire engines from Chippenham, Corsham and Yate attended the blaze, involving two barns, at 1am.
A water carrier from Devizes also attended the fires, which destroyed around 100 tonnes of hay and 80 tonnes of straw. By 5am the flames were under control. There were no injuries and the fires had died out by early afternoon.
