NORTH Wiltshire MP James Gray has joined forces with the Royal National Institute for the Deaf to press the Government to make digital hearing aids available to all on the NHS.
He welcomed two new breakthroughs that will lead to modernisation of hearing aid services in the UK.
Negotiations with hearing aid makers have reduced the cost of hearing aids to £75 they would cost up to £2,000 each privately and the RNID has published the first set of standards, to provide a blueprint on how services for deaf people should be run.
