SWINDON'S Leapfrog Day Nursery was the focus for the company's fundraising efforts as it handed over nearly £1,500 to the NSPCC.
The Swindon branch of the nursery chain was chosen for its managing director, Sue Husbands, to present the cheque to Jenni Cowlishaw from the children's charity.
A total of £1,433.83 was raised by all 35 Leapfrog nurseries as part of the NSPCC's Children's day in May, through a variety of activities including pyjama days, coffee mornings and raffles.
This year's Children's Day aimed to raise awareness about the importance of protecting children from physical abuse.
Ms Husbands said: "We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped raise money for the NSPCC Children's Day Appeal.
"We had a fantastic response to our fundraising activities and I am delighted to present this cheque to such a well deserving charity."
