I see by the Evening Advertiser issue on Thursday, August 1, that the people of Abbey Meads wish to close the bridge from Penhill into Abbey Meads because our children will vandalise the play area which is to be built a few feet from Penhill.
I think they forget we do live in a free country and are allowed to cross into their estate if we want to.
Perhaps they would like to close the bridge put up a 10-foot wall with barbed wire on top to keep us out. What bigots these people are.
A lot of people of Penhill have also bought their houses and take great pride in where they live and are happy, caring people and we really aren't too keen on going into Abbey Meads anyway.
I also note that David Glaholm actually spoke up for us, not before time, after all I think he is our councillor.
Have you been on holiday David, as this problem has been going on for quite some time and it's the first time you have spoken up for us.
