Supermarine Ladies rounded off their preparations for the new league season by travelling to Worcester on Sunday.
And despite the 31-19 defeat, Marine showed some good touches before their big kick-off against Whitchurch this weekend.
Despite competing well in the forward area, Supermarine went behind early in the game when Worcester's first-team backs pounced on a couple of mistakes to score two breakaway tries.
Marine kept up the pressure and it finally paid off when Rachel Jelleyman broke through the Worcester defence to go over and close the gap before half-time.
In the second half Supermarine changed their game plan to exploit their strength in the forwards.
The strategy paid off with strong support and good interplay between the pack producing two tries for Heather Connock and Shona Watt, which were both created by Claire Holliday.
Wing Debbie Gorrod converted two of the tries.
