KEEP an eye on your specs that's the message from Swindon's Specsavers opticians who say glasses regularly end up lost.
The shop, in Havelock Street, says about 60 holidaymakers a month come to buy replacement specs, most of which went missing during a holiday.
Branch manager David Grieves said: "The number of people who come into the store for new glasses definitely increases over the summer months, but there is a steady flow of forgetful people. One customer had to buy new specs because her dog ate them."
Meanwhile, First Great Western customer services manager Gerald Taylor revealed that the firm's trains are also a common place to lose spectacles among other items.
