FUNDRAISERS at the Swindon Lions are on the march again after a year's absence due to the foot and mouth crisis.

The Lions' autumn charity walk takes place on Sunday, September 22, and two routes will be provided offering a challenging eight-mile walk or a shorter walk around Coate Water for children and wheelchair users.

People will be sponsored and all proceeds go towards the walkers' chosen charities.

Both walks start at 9.30am, with the eight-mile walk starting from Scotby Avenue, while walkers at Coate will meet at the country park's refreshment kiosk.

Sponsorship are available from most charity shops in Swindon or from Victoria Bookshop in Wood Street.
