SWINDON'S theatre community mixed with the stars as the Wyvern launched this year's pantomime Dick Whittington.

With only three months until the curtain rises on the show, producer Charles Vance proudly introduced the production's stars, including former Doctor Who star Colin Baker, ex-Rainbow presenter Geoffrey Hayes and children's television favourite Hugo Myatt.

Also adding to the launch's atmosphere were the show's dancers from the Tanwood School, who performed some toe-tapping numbers thanks to their talented teacher and this year's Dick Whittington Pollyann Tanner.

Dick Whittington runs at the Wyvern Theatre from Friday, December 13, until Saturday, January 11, with shows at 2pm and 7pm. There are no shows on December 24, 25, 31 and no 3pm show on January 6.

Last year's ticket prices have been held with a family ticket costing £40. For more information, call the box office on 01793 524481.
