DRIVERS experienced more motoring misery on the M4 and A419.
Accidents on both roads combined to create major congestion between Swindon's Turnpike roundabout and junction 15.
The M4 westbound at Swindon was blocked for more than an hour yesterday morning after a caravan and tanker collided.
A Peugeot towing a caravan jack-knifed on the motorway shortly after 6am and ended up in the central reservation.
Two lanes of the carriageway were blocked for more than an hour causing tailbacks from Swindon's junction 16.
Meanwhile, on the A419, a three-vehicle crash at the Turnpike roundabout caused problems shortly before 8am and was not fully re-opened until 9.30am.
And to further compound motorists' misery yesterday traffic lights at Swindon council's £1.75 million double right turn junction on the Northern Orbital Road failed.
