ONE of the most influential men on the European rap and hip-hop scene will be playing in Old Town tonight.
Tim Westwood, probably best known for his pioneering late night weekend rap show on Radio One, will be on the decks at Soda during a three-hour set.
For the owner of the controversial club in High Street it marks an incredible coup.
Stephen Reid said: "I don't know how many people will come along that's the gamble in this business.
"It's a massive coup for us. I can't remember Westwood playing outside of London on a weeknight before.
"He's recognised all over the world as a pioneering hip-hop DJ."
His appearance in Old Town is part of Soda's new Soul City night, held on the second Wednesday of every month.
Entrance tonight is £5 on the door. Call Swindon 430444 for details.
