CAN somebody from the council planning department please explain how they can justify the permission given to build the roundabout on Dorcan Way. The new access road leads to a office development on Edison Way.
The chaos and hold-ups caused by the building of this roundabout are beyond words, yet nobody seems worried. The workers finish around 5pm and there seems no hurry to get the work completed. Children going from Liden and Eldene, who used to walk along the pathway which run alongside Dorcan Way, will have to cross this road to get to and from school.
Pipes are also being laid in Edison Way, and the road from Whetstone Road has been closed so if you go from Whetstone Road and try to go into Edison Road, you are driving into the oncoming traffic blind and I'm surprised there hasn't been a serious accident.
Perhaps this is how the council thinks it can slow traffic along this road. The police do nothing about the people who, tired of waiting in queues, are driving over the grass verges to go around the problem.
