PUPILS at Dauntsey Primary School, West Lavington, have raised more than £500 for the British Heart Foundation by doing a three-hour sponsored skip.
More than 20 children took part in the event on Friday, and their fancy footwork raised £520 for the heart charity.
Teacher Ben John said: "We were looking for an extra curricular activity that was fun and healthy for the children.
"This seemed to fit the bill and was also part of the Healthy Schools Award, which we are working towards."
Mr John formed a skipping club, which ran for two months before the Jump Rope event.
He said: "The children practised hard for eight weeks and then showed off their skills to the people of West Lavington.
"They skipped for three hours, with breaks, and showed off the difficult skipping tricks they had learned at the club."
