THREE garden design students from Wiltshire College Lackham have returned from the National Amatuer Gardening show with top awards.
Part-time mature students Brett Hardy, Stephen Gower and Sue Rowe are currently studying for an HNC in Garden Planning and Design.
The trio took part in the 2002 student challenge competition at the show.
Brett Hardy and Stephen Gower won gold awards, while Sue Rowe took silver. Mr Gower also won best in show.
The top prize of £600 was presented by Ground Force presenter Tommy Walsh.
Mr Gower's interest in exotic holidays inspired his design. He said: "My garden, 'Mother Natures Invitation', is based on the theme of exotic seclusion, a place to go to unwind from the stresses and strains of the modern lifestyle."
The gardens were displayed at the Shepton Mallet showground last week.
