A NEW managing director has been appointed at Trowbridge-based Fleetlease Commercial Vehicle Services.
Richard Egan, formerly managing director of Trident Vehicle Hire, part of the Northgate group, takes over the van and HGV contract hire division of Fleetlease.
He has worked in the industry for 11 years, mainly in the construction and transport sectors.
Fleetlease acquired Trowbridge Vehicle Contracts (TVC) at the end of last year and renamed the company Fleetlease Commercial Vehicle Services.
TVC was established in 1994 to provide specialist vehicles, typically those used in the telecoms, food and welfare sectors.
As Fleetlease Commercial, the business will continue to retain its specialist niche but will also look to increase business in more mainstream markets.
Mr Egan said: "We can do this by developing our own blue-chip client base but also by taking advantage of opportunities already presenting themselves with Fleetlease clients."
Fleetlease Commercial Vehicle Services is the van and HGV contract hire division of Fleetlease, a subsidiary of Hitachi Credit (UK) PLC.
