WEST Wilts 2nds opened their 2002/03 campaign with a resounding 5-0 victory over Wiltshire neighbours Salisbury 2nds on Saturday 7 September.
Wilts began slowly and it took them some time to get their ball pace and passing right. With a rock solid defence to work from the Wilts midfield took the game by the scruff of the neck.
Rob Robson scored a hat-trick, with Paul Fennel and skipper Rob Kerr-Bonner also on target.
West Wilts face a sterner test on Saturday 14 September when they entertain Andover (11.30am).
