This week, The Milford Mercury published a letter from Theresa Thom who alleges she witnessed a great act of cruelty to fish near their offices.
Being a newcomer to the area, but formerly a Trowbridge resident, I keep up with the news from Wiltshire on www.thisiswiltshire.co.uk, which publishes the fellow Newsquest paper, the Wiltshire Times.
I was surprised to learn in a letter published in your September 6 edition that the same person witnessed a similar act of cruelty to fish near your offices in Trowbridge.
I wonder how many newspaper editors across Britain have been taken in by this apparent fraudulent letter.
I thought there was something fishy with the letter as it mentions that hunting with dogs has been banned in this country.
Have I missed something?
What do the Countryside Alliance think of that?
That has only occurred in Scotland!
